Kuwait's "Blue" squad is fully fit for the friendly match against Yemen

The Kuwait national football team will conclude its preparations for the 27th Gulf Cup, “Gulf Cup of Arab States 27,” hosted by Saudi Arabia from September 23 to October 6, with a friendly match against Yemen at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation Training Center.
The “Blue” team will compete in Group A, alongside the Saudi national team, which they will face in the opening match on September 23, followed by Iraq and Oman, whom they will meet on September 26 and 29, respectively.
The “Blue” squad was completed last Wednesday evening with the arrival of Kuwait SC players from Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, where they had participated in Al-Ittihad’s 3-2 victory over Al-Wehda in the AFC Champions League Two on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni national team held a training session led by Algerian coach Nour Eddine Ould Ali, focusing on implementing playing styles and executing several tactical drills to assess the players’ readiness ahead of the friendly match.
The “Maroon” squad’s roster largely retained the majority of the players who represented the national team in the recent FIFA World Cup finals, with no significant changes, despite their elimination in the group stage.
The Qatari national team will begin its campaign in the tournament on September 24 against Bahrain, followed by a match against Yemen on September 27, and will conclude its group stage matches against the United Arab Emirates on September 30.
