The Authority stated in a statement that this took place during a meeting held by both sides on the sidelines of the participation of Sheikh Saud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah in the inaugural edition of the “Canada Investment Summit 2026,” which was held in Toronto on the 14th and 15th of the current month.
It added that the meeting discussed the historic and enduring relations between Kuwait and Canada, the investment presence of the Public Investment Authority in the Canadian markets, as well as ways to enhance economic and investment relations between the two countries.
On the sidelines of the summit, the Managing Member held a series of meetings with several senior Canadian officials, including Foreign Minister Anita Anand and Ontario Premier Doug Ford, and also met with leaders of prominent Canadian pension funds and investment institutions.
The Authority noted that the meetings focused on exchanging views on developments in the global investment environment and the economic and investment prospects in Canada, as well as exploring areas of mutual interest and opportunities to enhance cooperation and investment partnerships.
The Authority participated in the summit, which brought together a select group of leading global investors, business leaders, and government officials, with the aim of strengthening engagement between Canada and major global investment institutions and showcasing long-term investment opportunities in the Canadian market.
