"Kuwait Technical" welcomes more than 1,100 new students
Kuwait Technical College (ktech) welcomed more than 1,100 new diploma students, accompanied by their parents, to an orientation event held over three days on September 14, 15, and 17, 2026, in preparation for the start of the first semester of the 2026–2027 academic year on September 20.
The event was organized to help students transition to university life, familiarize them with the academic environment and available services, and address their inquiries by providing the information they need to begin their academic journey with confidence and readiness.
The orientation included comprehensive introductory sessions covering academic and administrative departments, majors, study and registration procedures. Students completed their course registration for the first semester, received their class schedules and student IDs, and learned about the academic regulations and procedures that will guide them throughout their time at the college.
Kuwait Technical College offers diploma and bachelor’s degree programs, allowing students to begin their studies with a diploma and then continue toward a bachelor’s degree. The college’s majors include cybersecurity, network systems maintenance and security, information systems management, accounting, marketing, and network design. These programs combine academic knowledge with practical application to meet labor market needs, providing students with diverse academic and professional pathways.
Students also learned about the Student Services Department and its academic advising and support, as well as the Student Life Department, which offers clubs, activities, and opportunities to develop talents and skills and participate in campus life. The sessions also covered the role of the Information Technology Department and the electronic applications students will need during their studies.
Several organizations participated in the event to offer services, benefits, and special offers to new students, contributing to supporting their university experience and facilitating the start of their academic journey.
The orientation event reflects Kuwait Technical College’s commitment to providing a comprehensive student experience from the very first steps, by preparing students academically, introducing them to available services and resources, and strengthening their connection with the departments that will support them throughout their university journey.
With the conclusion of the orientation event, Kuwait Technical College is preparing to welcome its students as the first semester begins on September 20, marking the start of a new phase in their educational and academic journey.
