Trabzon appoints Reis as coach

The club said in a statement: “Welcome, Thomas Reis,” adding that it would pay Bulgarian club Ludogorets 900,000 euros to release its manager.

Reis (52) will take charge following the departure of Turkish manager Fatih Tekke, whom the club parted ways with earlier this month due to poor results.

The German coach has previously managed several clubs in his home country, including Bochum and Schalke, as well as Samsunspor in Turkey.

Tekke (48) took over Trabzonspor, which features former Liverpool duo Egyptian Mohamed Salah and Brazilian Fabinho, in March 2025. He led the team in 62 matches and won the Turkish Cup last year.
