Amorim: We are suffering from a mental problem

Amorim said: “I don’t know if the problem is mental, but this is the second consecutive match in which we have not been present during the first half. We cannot concede such a goal, because we are already struggling to create chances, and when it happens we feel tense and anxious, making things even more difficult.”

He added that the team needs more organization, explaining that most of the opponents’ chances arise after Milan loses possession.

Amorim defended some of his selections, after Croatian Luka Modric remained on the bench for the entire match, while Belgian Diego Morais was left out of the starting lineup despite scoring two goals against Lazio.

He clarified that Frenchman Adrien Rabiot and American Christian Pulisic were not in their best condition to play a full match, while Morais had missed two days of training for personal reasons.
