The White House Criticizes the Federal Reserve's Rate Hike Decision: 'Regrettable'

The White House criticized on Wednesday the “unfortunate” decision by the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates, despite repeated calls from U.S. President Donald Trump to lower them.

White House spokesperson Kush Desai told Fox News that “the unfortunate decision made by the Federal Reserve today to raise interest rates was not, in the administration’s view, particularly well-supported by compelling economic rationale.”
