66-million-year-old dinosaur eggs found near the South Pole

Arabia.net – Researchers have discovered hundreds of fragments of dinosaur eggshells near the South Pole, laid approximately 66 million years ago in the far south of Patagonia, Argentina.
The study, published in the journal Royal Society Open Science, indicates that a team led by Japanese paleontologist Kohei Tanaka from the University of Tsukuba discovered more than 250 pieces of large dinosaur eggshells within the Chorrillo rock formation, dating to the Late Cretaceous period in southern Patagonia.
