Criminal Court orders arrest of eight suspects released in the "Agricultural Holdings" case

The Public Prosecution referred 71 defendants, including public employees, to the Criminal Court in a case involving the manipulation of procedures and documents related to agricultural holdings and plots under the jurisdiction of the General Authority for Agricultural and Fishery Affairs. The value of the funds and benefits involved in the corruption allegations amounted to approximately 8.66 million dinars.

The Public Prosecution charged the defendants with corruption offenses, including bribery, intentional damage to public funds through dereliction of official duties, forgery of official documents and their use and participation therein through conspiracy and assistance, money laundering, and illicit enrichment, along with other related offenses, all committed through the manipulation of procedures and documents pertaining to agricultural holdings and plots.
