Appeals Court adjourns verdict in case of man accused of killing his wife by running her over to September 23

The Criminal Court of Appeal has postponed the case of a Kuwaiti national sentenced to death for allegedly killing his wife by running her over with a vehicle in the Al-Mutlaa district, to a hearing on September 23 of this month for the pronouncement of the verdict.

During the hearing, lawyer Abdulmohsen Al-Qattan, representing the defense of the deceased’s heirs, stated that “the forensic medical report and the medical examinations conducted on the accused proved that he was feigning illness and exaggerating non-existent symptoms, thereby refuting his claims regarding his health condition.”

He requested the court to uphold the death sentence imposed on the accused, affirming that the defense of the deceased’s heirs maintained its position in support of the conviction and death penalty established in the appealed judgment.
