Al-Huwail: Drafting a comprehensive and integrated national strategy for protection against domestic violence

Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Children’s Affairs, held discussions today, Tuesday, during her chairing of the third meeting of the National Committee for Protection from Domestic Violence, on the executive steps aimed at strengthening family security and social stability in the country.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Huwail said that the meeting addressed initiatives and perspectives presented by the relevant member entities of the committee, and examined mechanisms to enhance joint efforts and institutional coordination among state sectors and civil society organizations.

She added that the discussions focused on activating joint efforts to move forward toward formulating a comprehensive and integrated national strategy for protection from domestic violence, thereby ensuring the establishment of an advanced and sustainable preventive and therapeutic system.
