The Saudi Cabinet today strongly condemned the continued attacks by the Houthi militia on civilian targets and civilians in the Kingdom.

Saudi Press Agency reported that this statement came from Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari in a statement following a Cabinet meeting chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah.

The Cabinet affirmed that the security of the country, the integrity of its territory, and its resources are a firm principle not subject to infringement, and that the Kingdom’s legitimate right to defend itself, protect its sovereignty, citizens, residents, and vital interests is in accordance with the UN Charter and international law provisions.

The Council also reviewed developments in the region and the world, and the efforts undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to consolidate peace and security through dialogue in managing international issues, and to support cooperation prospects with the international community, including its bodies and organizations, thereby contributing to strengthening collective responses to shared global challenges.

The Council noted the Kingdom’s reaffirmation at the 70th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that, over decades, it has established its position as a reliable source of energy and an active partner in stabilizing global energy markets, while simultaneously advancing the development of a national energy mix that is more diverse and sustainable, including the addition of nuclear energy within a robust regulatory framework aligned with international commitments.
