200 Bags from AUK for the Children of the Needy

In line with its commitment to serving the community and enhancing its positive impact, the American University of Kuwait (AUK), in collaboration with Loyak, launched a community initiative to support families with limited incomes, coinciding with preparations for the new academic year.
The initiative involved assembling complete school bags containing essential supplies for all educational stages, to be distributed to 200 students through Loyak, thereby helping students prepare for the academic year and providing them with basic educational needs.
This initiative reflects the American University of Kuwait’s dedication to strengthening its corporate social responsibility and contributing to purposeful initiatives that leave a positive and sustainable impact on the community, alongside supporting students at the start of a new academic year.
Through this partnership, the American University of Kuwait and Loyak aim to help alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with preparing for the new academic year, ensuring that students have the necessary supplies to begin their school year with confidence and readiness.
Volunteer work forms a core component of this initiative, given its active role in fostering a culture of giving and encouraging university students to actively participate in serving others. Volunteer experiences also provide participants with the opportunity to directly contribute to making a tangible difference, while enhancing their sense of initiative, collaboration, and responsibility toward others, thereby reinforcing the value of volunteering and its role in community development.
The initiative also highlights the importance of partnerships and cooperation among institutions in pooling efforts and expanding the reach of purposeful initiatives aimed at supporting students. The American University of Kuwait continues to support initiatives that empower individuals, meet their needs, and contribute to building a better future for all.
