Al-Khairia Global participates in the steering committee of the "Solidarity 2.0" program

The Islamic World Relief Organization (IWRO) participated in the steering committee meeting of the “Solidarity 2.0” program, held via video conference with the participation of the Islamic Development Bank and several partner development and humanitarian institutions to monitor the program’s implementation and discuss its priorities and work pathways in the coming phase.

On Monday, IWRO Director General Bader Al-Samit said that the program focuses on empowering local civil society organizations and building their institutional and technical capacities, thereby enhancing their ability to serve their communities more effectively and sustainably.

Al-Samit added that the program aims to transition from direct response to needs toward addressing their root causes by investing in the capacities of local institutions and empowering them to design and implement sustainable development solutions that respond to the needs of their communities.

He noted that the selection of the Islamic Development Bank as a key partner in the program reflects IWRO’s expertise in charitable and development work, as well as in building the capacities of non-profit organizations and improving their institutional performance.

He clarified that IWRO’s role is based on three pathways: developing methodologies for building the capacities of civil society organizations; supporting projects related to community resilience, financial inclusion, and institutional building; and leveraging technical expertise in designing development and humanitarian interventions.

He pointed out that IWRO’s participation in the program contributes to strengthening the presence of the State of Kuwait within the international humanitarian and development work system, noting that the coming phase will focus on transitioning from partnership building to implementation and achieving tangible and sustainable results in targeted communities.
