stc Creates an Environment That Supports Employee Well-being and Enhances Their Sense of Belonging

Kuwait’s stc telecom company organized the “stc run” event at The Avenues Mall, as part of its activities dedicated to employees and their families to mark the back-to-school season. The experience brought children together through a mix of educational challenges, physical activities, and entertainment, providing an interactive and fun way to celebrate the start of the new academic year.
As part of the “stc run,” held with the attendance of the Chief Executive Officer of the Business Excellence Sector at stc, children participated in a series of school-themed challenges that combined physical activity with educational elements in a vibrant and joyful atmosphere.
Drawing on diverse educational materials, the activities launched by stc encouraged children to think, move, explore, and use their senses while completing each challenge. The combination of learning and movement made the experience interactive and exciting throughout the day. Upon completing the challenges, each child received a medal in recognition of their achievement and participation.
The back-to-school experience also included a dedicated activity at the stc Books store, where children were provided with their own school supplies in preparation for the new academic year. Allowing them the freedom to choose what they preferred added a personal touch to the day and made school preparation more enjoyable; it also enhanced their sense of active involvement in getting ready for the upcoming year, making this activity a valuable and distinctive part of the overall experience.
This activity completed the comprehensive back-to-school experience and maintained the lively and joyful atmosphere throughout the event. Although the initiative was primarily organized for stc employees and their families, the “stc run” was also open to the public on the same day, providing customers and visitors to The Avenues Mall with the opportunity to participate in this experience. This broader event helped create an inclusive and interactive atmosphere around the initiative, expanding the reach of the “back-to-school” activities to include more families.
Commenting on the initiative, Ahmed Al-Murad, Chief Executive Officer of the Business Excellence Sector at stc, said: “At stc, we place great importance on creating experiences that bring our employees and their families together outside of the workplace. The back-to-school season gave us the opportunity to do so in a way that resonates with the interests of both parents and children, combining learning, physical activity, and entertainment in a single experience.”
Al-Murad added: “We wanted children to enjoy this occasion while participating in activities that foster curiosity, engagement, and a sense of achievement. Creating such moments for our employees and their families is an important part of our ongoing efforts to build a positive and interactive work environment at stc.”
He further stated: “Our commitment to our employees extends beyond the workplace; we strive to create an environment that supports their well-being and enhances their sense of belonging, while providing opportunities for their families to participate in experiences that reflect our corporate culture.”
He concluded: “Initiatives like ‘stc run’ allow us to translate this commitment into tangible reality in an interactive and engaging way for our employees. We will continue to invest in initiatives that contribute to enhancing employee well-being and creating meaningful experiences that bring members of the stc community closer together.”
