Al Ahli Strengthens the Work Environment Supporting Bank Employees’ Family Ties

Kuwait National Bank (KNB) organized its “ABK Junior” event for employees’ children for the fourth consecutive year at its headquarters, with broad participation from children and their parents from staff across various departments, reflecting the bank’s ongoing commitment to strengthening family bonds and promoting an inclusive and supportive work environment.
The event featured a diverse range of recreational activities, including face painting, instant photo sessions for participants, scientific demonstrations, treasure hunt competitions with prizes for winners, and guided tours of the main vault, safe deposit vaults, the central surveillance camera room, and the central data center. Visitors were also introduced to the operation of automated teller machines (ATMs) and cash counting processes.
A financial literacy workshop was held to introduce children to the nature of their parents’ work and the importance of saving and early financial planning, presented in a simplified and engaging manner that fostered an atmosphere of joy and happiness among attendees.
Speaking on the occasion, Afrah Al-Arboush, Director of Human Resources Management at KNB, stated that organizing this event stems from the bank’s firm belief that its employees are its true asset, and that supporting their family stability directly enhances their job performance.
She added, “Seeing the smiles on our employees’ children’s faces and introducing them to their parents’ support for the bank’s success journey represents the true investment that strengthens the loyalty of our team members and reinforces values of giving and commitment.”
She noted that the remarkable success and high turnout of the event for the fourth consecutive year confirm the effectiveness of the bank’s vision of maintaining close ties with its employees and their families. The event has become an annual occasion eagerly anticipated by all to renew positive energy and strengthen the spirit of a single family within KNB. Each edition strives to develop activities and programs to deliver a more interactive experience, building on the positive feedback and tangible engagement observed annually, which drives the bank to innovate distinctive initiatives that establish a model work environment balancing professional ambition with family stability.
Al-Arboush emphasized the bank’s continuous commitment to organizing initiatives that combine work and fun, giving employees’ children the opportunity to learn about the environment where their parents spend their time, thereby enhancing their sense of pride.
