Live performances of Oprah Winfrey's parade

Reuters – American media pioneer Oprah Winfrey has announced that she will present a series of live shows at the Sphere venue in Las Vegas in 2027, describing them as the culmination of decades of work encouraging self-discovery and personal growth through television, publishing, and live events.
The four shows are scheduled to take place from April 2 to 4.
Producers said the two-hour performance will blend music, poetry, storytelling, and visual arts, featuring Grammy-winning musician Jacob Collier, poet and writer Ocean Vuong, musician Agnes Obel, and gospel singer Wintley Phipps.
She recalled standing inside the venue during a concert, listening to the crowd’s cheers and realizing that this immersive space could be more than just a place for entertainment, seeing it as a powerful space for human connection.
“I was standing there alone, looking up, wondering, ‘What just happened?’,” she said, describing the moment when her vision for the project began to take shape.
She added that at that point she told herself, “This can be used for something greater than a concert. It can be used to change the way people see themselves.”
Starting her career in local news broadcasts in Nashville and Baltimore, she rose to become one of the most prominent media figures in the United States through “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” which ran for 25 years.
She subsequently built a business empire spanning television, film, publishing, and digital media, alongside her prominent charitable work and interviews with global leaders, celebrities, and authors.
