Trump Condemns 'Malicious Conspiracy' Against Artificial Intelligence

Washington (AFP) – US President Donald Trump condemned a “malicious conspiracy” targeting artificial intelligence, amid growing calls to slow its development due to potential risks to humanity, particularly from leaders of leading companies in the field.

Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform that “the only regulation or (safety barriers) that AI needs is a strong, smart president with a high IQ! And the United States has many such people!”

Trump specifically attacked Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, who called for slowing the pace of AI development, a stance supported by his counterpart Sam Altman of OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, as well as by Elon Musk.
