Ministry of Health calls for blood donations to support inventory sustainability and meet patients' needs

The Ministry of Health called on Monday for donors with both positive and negative blood types to donate blood to support the sustainability of the blood supply and meet patients’ needs by visiting the Central Blood Bank or one of its branches.

In a statement, the Ministry noted that working hours at the Central Blood Bank in Jabriya and the Cooperatives Center for Blood Transport (next to Adan Hospital) are from Saturday to Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and on Fridays from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

It added that working hours at Sheikha Salwa Al-Sabah Center (next to the Maternity Hospital), the donation branch at Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital, and the donation branch at the new Jahra Hospital are from Sunday to Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the donation branch at Hamad Al-Humaidi and Sheikha Al-Sudairi Medical Center (Shuwaikh Residential) operates from Sunday to Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
