Omani Energy Minister: Hormuz Strait Disruptions Are Short-Term

Omani Energy Minister Salem Al Awfi said the Strait of Hormuz would remain open, noting that the current situation was likely to be short-lived and that conditions were expected to stabilize in the medium term, according to Reuters.

The minister added, “I am pleased that the Sultanate of Oman remains able to continue oil and gas production, and that the sharp rise in oil and liquefied natural gas prices is not sustainable for everyone.”
