Cuba praises Kuwaiti support and reaffirms readiness to enhance health cooperation

The Kuwaiti Embassy in Cuba stated in a statement on Saturday that this came during a meeting between Kuwait’s Ambassador to Havana, Adel Al-Adgham, and Cuba’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended by senior officials from the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He clarified that Portillo, during the meeting, praised the distinguished fraternal relations between the two countries and Kuwait’s political and economic support for the Republic of Cuba, recalling the vital role played by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development in supporting Cuba’s economic infrastructure.

The Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that Havana is ready to enhance health cooperation between the two sides and provide any possible assistance to Kuwait, particularly in the medical field and medical personnel.

The Cuban official also commended the results of the visit made last week by a joint delegation from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which held the first round of discussions on the double taxation agreement between the two countries.
