Boubyan Concludes the Summer Training Program “Boubyan Explorer”

Boubyan Bank concluded its summer program “Boubyan Explorer,” held under the umbrella of its training academy, PRIME Academy, with the participation of 40 high school students aged 16 to 18. The program featured a 10-day educational and practical journey that allowed participants to explore the world of business and banking, gain close insight into the bank’s work environment, and learn about service development mechanisms and customer experience strategies.

The program’s conclusion featured presentations by the participating teams, attended by several senior bank executives. The teams presented ideas and solutions to address real-world challenges related to service development, enhancing customer experience, and improving internal work processes, simulating the mechanisms of proposing and discussing ideas in a professional work environment.

The program also included a series of interactive sessions, field visits, and meetings with various bank executives, experts, and employees across different sectors and departments. Additionally, a dialogue session was held with entrepreneur and founder of the “Talabat” app, Khaled Al-Otaibi.

Commenting on the occasion, Adel Al-Humaid, General Manager of the Human Resources Group, stated that the “Boubyan Explorer” program reflects the bank’s vision of investing in youth by designing distinctive educational experiences that bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, providing them with a practical space to discover their capabilities and develop the skills needed for their academic and professional futures.

He emphasized that the program’s value extends to fostering a mindset based on exploration and questioning, transforming knowledge and observations into actionable ideas. He stressed that early investment in skills contributes to preparing a generation more aware of future requirements and better equipped to keep pace with future transformations.

He commended the participants’ engagement and the ideas they presented, which demonstrated young people’s ability to handle business challenges practically and systematically when provided with a suitable environment for learning and experimentation. He reaffirmed Boubyan Bank’s commitment to continuing initiatives that empower young national talent, helping them discover their potential and prepare for the future.

For his part, Abdulaziz Al-Roumi, Assistant General Manager of the Human Resources Group, said the program was designed to take participants on a comprehensive journey, beginning with understanding how institutions operate and how their departments integrate, then moving to field research and customer journey analysis.

He added that participants worked in teams to explore various aspects of the business environment within the bank through field visits and meetings with employees and specialists. The experience involved research, analysis, and identifying the best opportunities for development, ultimately translating ideas into practical results and realistic solutions.

Regarding the hosting of Kuwaiti entrepreneur and Talabat founder Khaled Al-Otaibi, Al-Roumi noted that this was done to introduce participating youth to inspiring Kuwaiti business experiences and provide them with the opportunity to benefit from the practical expertise of entrepreneurs, thereby enhancing their entrepreneurial mindset. This gives them a deeper understanding of what it takes to build businesses, including the ability to explore opportunities, handle challenges, and make decisions.

Al-Roumi concluded by emphasizing that the final stage reflected participants’ transition from exploring challenges and gathering information to contributing developable ideas and recommendations, leveraging the analytical thinking, practical application, teamwork, and communication skills they had acquired. He noted that this transformation represents one of the program’s most significant outcomes.
