Zain, Official Partner of Kuwait's Delegation at Asia's Largest Sports Event

Zain announced the continuation of its extended strategic partnership with the Kuwait Olympic Committee, becoming the official partner of the Kuwaiti delegation for three upcoming international tournaments. The partnership will further strengthen Zain’s role as a key supporter of Kuwaiti athletes, enabling them to maintain their distinguished presence at major regional and international sporting events.

The partnership includes supporting the Kuwaiti sports delegations at the 20th Asian Games “Aichi Nagoya 2026” in Japan, the 4th Summer Youth Olympic Games “Dakar 2026” in Senegal, and the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games “Riyadh 2026” in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Zain will support the delegation in several other upcoming international competitions.

Zain launched the partnership under the slogan “Zain with the Blue,” bidding farewell to athletes, officials, and the departing delegation at Kuwait International Airport before their departure for Japan to represent the country. The company ensured that champions shared moments of excitement and pride, carrying the aspirations of an entire nation to one of Asia’s largest sporting stages.

Kuwait will participate in the Asian Games with a sports mission comprising 120 male and female athletes competing in 16 sports: athletics, equestrian, fencing, football, golf, handball, jiu-jitsu, karate, modern pentathlon, padel, sailing, shooting, sport climbing, squash, swimming, and taekwedo. They aim to write a new chapter for Kuwaiti sports presence at the continental level in a major event that brings together elite athletes from across Asia.

Throughout the tournament, Zain will follow the Kuwaiti delegation’s journey in Japan through its social media platforms, sharing content that introduces participating athletes, their stories, and achievements, while tracking their performances in various competitions. The company will also celebrate their accomplishments and key milestones, placing Kuwaiti champions at the heart of the campaign and allowing the public to experience the tournament atmosphere in real time.

This partnership reaffirms Zain’s commitment to supporting Kuwaiti sports and young athletes, highlighting distinguished national role models who represent Kuwait on major stages. Driven by the belief that sports embody values of ambition, perseverance, and teamwork, Zain aims to inspire new generations and encourage them to develop their potential and achieve their aspirations.

Furthermore, Zain’s support for the Kuwaiti delegation embodies its corporate mission, “Constant Connection… A Better Life,” by building stronger ties with society and supporting national talents that contribute to creating a sustainable positive impact. This aligns with the company’s strategy of investing in youth and sports, as well as initiatives that enhance Kuwait’s status and presence at regional and international forums.

The initiative reflects Zain’s ongoing dedication to backing Kuwaiti athletes and strengthening their presence in major championships. Over the past years, the company has established itself as an active partner in Kuwait’s sports sector through various partnerships and initiatives aimed at developing sports, empowering youth, and providing more platforms to showcase their capabilities and achievements. This continues Zain’s approach of supporting the sports and youth sectors, which has been a central pillar of its previous sports partnerships.

Zain expressed its best wishes for the success of all Kuwaiti athletes in their upcoming competitions, starting with the “Aichi Nagoya 2026” Asian Games in Japan. The company hopes they will deliver performances that reflect the ambition of Kuwaiti sports and proudly raise the name and flag of Kuwait at this major Asian sporting event.

This partnership extends the ongoing collaboration between Zain and the Kuwait Olympic Committee. The company previously served as the official partner of the Kuwaiti delegation at the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China, in 2023, supporting Kuwaiti athletes and demonstrating its commitment to backing them in representing the country at one of the continent’s most prominent sporting events.
