$618 billion in Gulf stock exchange trading volumes in 2025

KUNA – The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Statistical Center reported that GCC stock markets recorded trading volumes of approximately 401.7 billion shares, valued at $618 billion in 2025, representing a 19.5 percent increase compared to 2024.
The Center added in a report issued on the performance of GCC stock exchanges during 2025 that the total market capitalization of GCC financial markets reached approximately $3.9 trillion in 2025, down 6.2 percent compared to the previous year.
Regarding the total number of listed companies in GCC financial markets, the Center noted that this figure stood at 779 companies. Of these, 756 companies allow GCC nationals to trade their shares in GCC markets, accounting for 97 percent of all listed companies. The proportion reached 100 percent at the stock exchanges of Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, and Qatar.
