Saudi Arabia Prevails

Direct and unequivocal: This discourse is not merely about feelings of solidarity, but about national interests first and foremost. The heinous attacks against the Kingdom are attacks on Kuwait and on every Gulf state, indeed on every Arab nation.

I reiterate: The rhetoric is not solely about feelings of affection, love, and gratitude toward the Kingdom for all it has done and continues to do to safeguard and protect the Gulf family. It is because any harm inflicted upon Saudi Arabia means shaking the foundations of stability in the region. If the pillar of the house is damaged, God forbid, the dangers will not be limited to the foundations; they will threaten the house and its inhabitants.

The Kingdom possessed a far-sighted vision compared to others when it early on identified the threat posed by tools of destabilization in neighboring countries that take orders from a state beyond its borders. The validity of this vision was confirmed nearly a decade ago, with the deployment of missile batteries at the borders and the onset of military harassment, following the failure of all diplomatic and quiet attempts to resolve the issue in a manner that safeguards the interests of all parties.

Acting as is its custom, the Kingdom behaved from the standpoint of the elder brother who embraces everyone. However, the will to inflict harm proved stronger, forcing the “master of the house” to launch “Operation Decisive Storm.” Subsequently, as circumstances on the ground changed, and out of a commitment to Yemen, a consensus was reached on a participatory political solution among all parties, and a relief bridge—the largest in history—was established to heal wounds.

Matters were relatively stabilized, and political consensus was unleashed, oscillating between progress and stagnation, until masks were dropped during the current war between the United States and Iran. The extent of coordination and linkage between Iran and its proxies in the region became clear, and overt synchronization was evident from both the south and north of the Kingdom, with the aim of inflicting maximum harm on Saudi Arabia and also on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

The Kingdom devoted itself to military response and security control, alongside the mission of helping regional countries withstand pressure—not only in military and security aspects, but also in economic, social, and food security dimensions. For instance, it became a lung for Kuwait, providing breathing space by land, air, and sea. It dispatched convoys of medicine and food to various Gulf states and, through the GCC Secretariat General, organized mechanisms for a unified political stance in addressing the crisis. Its essence was: no to continuing military solutions, no to being drawn into an open war, and no to leniency in response and deterrence.

In recent days, the Kingdom has been subjected to attacks from multiple sources, all revolving around a single entity. Standard statements of solidarity are no longer sufficient. Condemnation, denunciation, and reprobation are no longer enough. Effective steps are imperative, because the concern is one, and the blood is one.

It is no longer permissible to allow security to be used as a bargaining chip in regional and global blackmail. Security is a cornerstone of stability, and stability will be supported only by unity of path and destiny. Cooperation mechanisms must be changed and transformed into federal mechanisms, so that this Gulf region is treated as a single structure, with solid walls and steel columns.

They target international waterways, closing them or obstructing movement through them. They target the arteries of life, including oil facilities, pipelines, and tankers. They target services related to people’s livelihoods, such as electricity and water. They target innocent civilians in their homes, and then everyone enters into negotiation mechanisms, terms, and priorities... Things ease up here, explode there, and the region is once again drawn into the labyrinth of undisclosed political and economic interests.

O our people in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, only the ungrateful, the ignorant, and the ingrate forget your kindness, chivalry, and manliness.

You were, and remain, the first to stand by us in every crisis. Indeed, you linked your destiny to ours through the immortal stance of the late Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdulaziz: “Either we live together, or we perish together.”

Today, we say it from the mind before the heart: either we live together with the Kingdom as Gulf citizens, or we perish together. There are no half-measures when the entire fate is at stake, and there will be no roof over our heads if the foundation of the house crumbles.
