Traffic Department urges parents to adhere to designated areas and avoid random parking near schools

The Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector continues its field efforts in conjunction with the start of the academic year, by intensifying traffic deployments and distributing patrols to the entrances and exits of neighborhoods and around schools, with the aim of regulating traffic flow, enhancing the smoothness of movement, and reducing congestion.
The sector has called on parents to cooperate with traffic officers and adhere to dropping off students in designated areas, to avoid random stopping or obstructing traffic flow, while emphasizing the need to comply with traffic instructions and guidelines.
It stressed the importance of students and their escorts crossing roads at designated pedestrian crossings, to safeguard their safety and that of other road users, thereby contributing to providing a safe and organized traffic environment throughout the academic year.
