US President Donald Trump defended his administration’s current policies in the fields of security, energy, and defense, warning against a Democratic return to power in the midterm congressional elections scheduled for November 3.

Trump said in a speech delivered at the Republican National Committee conference in Dallas, Texas, on Thursday evening that “the United States has succeeded in regaining its global leadership economically and militarily after years of embarrassment caused by the Democrats.”

He urged his Republican supporters to participate heavily and vote strongly in November to defeat the Democrats, warning that if his party fails to win, it will lead to the “destruction” of his achievements.
