Trump: Iran in a bind and awaiting political change in America

US President Donald Trump predicted that the war with Iran would end after the US midterm elections in November, considering that Tehran is waiting for a political change within the United States.

Trump said in an interview with Fox News that Iranians are betting on the US elections, adding that they believe Democrats “might allow them to possess a nuclear weapon.”

The US president reiterated his commitment to preventing Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, stating that the United States “has eliminated Iran’s nuclear capabilities.” Trump went further, saying that the “crazy Iranian regime would have used a nuclear weapon if we had not destroyed its nuclear capabilities.”

Regarding the military situation, Trump said that Iranians are “fighting with difficulty and are in a major predicament,” but he acknowledged at the same time that Iran remains capable of launching some missiles.
