Kuwait-Egypt-Saudi Arabia talks to enhance cooperation in civil aviation
The General Authority of Civil Aviation stated in a statement on Thursday that this came during two separate meetings held on the sidelines of Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Sabah’s participation in the activities of the second edition of the Alexandria International Air and Space Exhibition, held in Egypt from September 7 to 10.
The two meetings addressed a number of topics of mutual interest in the field of civil aviation, foremost among them updating and developing operational aspects, alongside enhancing cooperation and partnership between the two sides, and exchanging expertise, ideas, and perspectives, thereby contributing to supporting and developing the civil aviation sector.
They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in a number of projects and initiatives related to the civil aviation sector in general, thereby strengthening integration and coordination among sister states and supporting the development of the aviation system in accordance with the latest international standards and practices.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing communication, coordination, and the exchange of expertise, in order to serve common interests and support the path of development and growth in the civil aviation sector.
Meanwhile, Commander of the Air Force, Major General and Air Marshal Fahd Falah Al-Kharinji, and his accompanying delegation participated in the Alexandria Exhibition, attended by a number of senior officials, air force commanders, and military delegations from sister and friendly countries.
The participation included reviewing the latest systems, technologies, and innovations in the fields of aviation and space, and learning about the most prominent developments and modern technical capabilities showcased at the exhibition.
Additionally, the Commander of the Air Force held a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Commander of the Egyptian Air Force, Air Marshal Amr Abdel Rahman Saqr, along with a number of senior military officials, as well as meetings with representatives of specialized global companies, during which aspects of cooperation and the development of air capabilities were discussed.
