Renewal of ABET accreditation for 'Engineering and Petroleum' programs at Kuwait University

Kuwait University announced the renewal of the accreditation of its College of Engineering and Petroleum programs by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the United States, reflecting the academic quality of the programs and their commitment to global standards in engineering education, as well as enhancing international recognition of their outcomes.

Dr. Adel Al-Mallah, Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University, said in a press statement on Thursday that the renewal of accreditation underscores the academic level of the engineering programs and the quality of their graduates.

He added that the accreditation process included a comprehensive self-assessment of the programs and a site visit during which an ABET delegation reviewed student work and laboratories, met with faculty members, and visited several academic facilities and support services related to the educational process.
