Kuwait's Junior Athletics Team Concludes Participation in the Arab Championship with Seven Medals

The Kuwait national athletics team concluded its participation in the 12th Arab Junior Athletics Championships for athletes under 18, held in Cairo, with seven medals in total: three gold, three silver, and one bronze.
Head coach of the junior national team at the Kuwait Athletics Federation, Dr. Nasser Al-Jarallah, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Wednesday that the team’s participation in the current edition of the Arab Championships was “distinguished,” praising the achievements, medals, and new personal bests delivered by the players.
Al-Jarallah explained that the athletes won seven medals, including two golds for Abdulrahman Al-Azmi in the triple jump event, and one gold for Yasmin Walid in the high jump.
He described the junior athletics team as “promising, comprising many talented players,” noting that the athletes succeeded in winning medals and achieving good personal bests despite the strong competition and high level of the participating national teams at the Arab Championships.
The head coach of the junior national team at the Kuwait Athletics Federation affirmed that the National Teams Committee, chaired by Falah Al-Ajmi, has a future plan to make this team “the cornerstone and core foundation” of the senior athletics team within three to four years, by focusing on training camps and bringing in top coaches to develop the players’ levels.
The championships, which kicked off last Sunday, featured 276 athletes representing 15 Arab countries: Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Sudan, Libya, Djibouti, and Egypt.
