Coalition for Legitimacy Support in Yemen: Houthi attacks confirm their extremist approach and ideology of escalation and targeting civilians

The Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy in Yemen on Wednesday condemned the Houthi militia’s despicable and ongoing attacks on Saudi Arabia’s national assets and infrastructure, stating that these acts demonstrate the group’s extremist approach of escalation and targeting of civilians.

In a statement posted on his X account, Coalition spokesperson Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki said the terrorist Houthi militia continues its despicable attacks on Saudi Arabia’s national assets and infrastructure.

He affirmed that the Coalition’s Joint Forces Command would respond to these attacks responsibly to safeguard the Kingdom’s sovereignty and national assets, and to protect civilians and civilian objects from such despicable acts, in accordance with the principle of self-defense under international law and Article 51 of the UN Charter, as well as in compliance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
