50 Violations and 217 Vehicles Impounded... Violations of Safety and Security Standards

An extensive traffic campaign conducted by the Traffic and Operations Sector in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the General Directorate of Civil Defense, and the Public Authority for Environmental Affairs, resulted in the issuance of 50 diverse traffic violations, the administrative impoundment of 217 vehicles, and the drafting of six reports by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Additionally, the General Directorate of Civil Defense closed 30 establishments, issued seven closure warnings, and served 37 appearance notices, while the Public Authority for Environmental Affairs issued three violations.

The campaign was supervised by Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Azmi, Head of the Traffic and Operations Sector, and Colonel Mohammed Al-Hajraf, Director of the Technical Inspection Department. Inspection efforts focused on garages, workshops, and establishments in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, ensuring their compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and bylaws, and taking necessary legal action against violators.

The campaign also included scrutiny of vehicles to enforce rules and conditions regarding window tinting, as well as addressing vehicles emitting excessive noise. Inspectors verified compliance with technical specifications and safety and security standards.

This campaign is part of joint field efforts by relevant government authorities to enhance oversight, enforce laws and regulations, curb violations, and improve overall road safety, thereby contributing to the security and well-being of road users.
