Business Confidence in Saudi Arabia at Highest Level Since March 2026

Arabic - The Business Confidence Index in Saudi Arabia recorded a level of 56.7 points in August last month, an increase of 0.2 points compared to July, when it stood at 56.5 points, according to data from the General Authority for Statistics.
The index rose in August to its highest level since March 2026. The index reflects prevailing optimism in the business sector, supported by enterprises’ confidence in the stability of economic activity and continued growth across various sectors.
The construction sector recorded an optimistic level in the Business Confidence Index in August 2026, reaching 57.3 points, reflecting sustained optimism among sector enterprises despite a slight decline of 0.4 points from July 2026, when it stood at 57.7 points. This decrease is attributed to a drop in confidence levels related to input costs for the current month and expected costs for the next month.
The Business Confidence Index in the industrial sector reached an optimistic level of 55.8 points in August 2026, up by 1.04 points compared to July 2026, when it stood at 54.7 points. This level is attributed to growing confidence among industrial enterprises, particularly regarding expectations for overall performance and employment.
The Business Confidence Index in the services sector recorded a level of 56.1 points in August, an increase of 0.9 points compared to July, when it stood at 55.3 points. The rise was supported by an increase in enterprises’ optimism, particularly concerning overall performance and fixed investment spending.
