Confiscation of illegal carriages in Hawalli
Joint efforts between the Commercial Surveillance and Consumer Protection Administration, represented by the Hawalli Governorate inspection unit, and the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Traffic, resulted in the seizure of several garages in the governorate where various violations were identified.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry stated on its official account on the X platform that “the violations included carrying out repairs on vehicles resulting from traffic accidents and changing a vehicle’s color without obtaining written authorization from the Ministry of Interior, as well as possessing and selling used tires and failing to display a warranty schedule for new, refurbished, and used spare parts in a prominent location.”
