Interior Ministry Arrests 4 Suspects in Local Alcohol Factory in Jakhira on Abdali Road

The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Administration of Criminal Investigations – Al-Jahra Governorate Criminal Investigations Department, arrested four Indian nationals for using a desert shelter as a site for the production, storage, and sale of locally brewed alcohol.

Investigative efforts led to the identification of the shelter used by the suspects as a base for manufacturing and storing the illicit alcohol. Consequently, a raid was conducted on the site, resulting in the apprehension of three suspects caught in the act of production, while the fourth suspect was arrested upon arriving at the shelter to purchase a quantity of the locally brewed alcohol for resale.

A search of the site yielded 236 plastic bottles filled with locally brewed alcohol, ready for sale, along with a large number of barrels and raw materials used in the production process, as well as a sum of money.

Upon interrogation, the three suspects admitted to using the shelter as a site for the production, storage, and sale of locally brewed alcohol to avoid detection. The fourth suspect admitted to purchasing the locally brewed alcohol for resale. It was also revealed that three of the suspects are wanted under arrest warrants, including one related to fraud and deception.
