Interior Ministry: Two suspects apprehended with 37 bags of narcotics in Salmiya

The Security Directorate of Hawalli Governorate, represented by the Operations and Patrols Department, managed to apprehend two Sri Lankan nationals in the Salmiya area, in possession of 37 bags, each containing a crystalline narcotic substance.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, the apprehension took place during the course of a security patrol’s duties in the area, where two individuals were observed digging in a dirt lot. Upon approaching them to verify their activities, one of them attempted to flee, but security forces managed to subdue him and apprehend both individuals.
