Saudi Foreign Ministry Condemns Terrorist Houthi Militia Attacks: No Tolerance for Any Aggression

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s strongest condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist Houthi militia’s attacks on civilian and economic targets in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran, which resulted in the injury of 73 civilians, including women and children. It also condemned the militia’s continued targeting of commercial vessels in the Red Sea and its threat to international maritime navigation freedom.

In a statement issued by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Kingdom reiterated its firm rejection of the hostile approach and criminal behavior that this militia has consistently engaged in, threatening the security and stability of the sister Republic of Yemen and its Arab and Islamic surroundings, as well as its persistent rejection of all peace efforts.

The Kingdom affirmed its legitimate right to take all necessary measures to defend its sovereignty, safeguard its national resources, and ensure the security and safety of its citizens and residents within its territory. It emphasized that it will not tolerate any aggression targeting its territory and national resources, in accordance with the rules of international law.

The Kingdom warned of the dire consequences of the continued targeting of innocent civilians and civilian infrastructure by the terrorist Houthi militia, stressing the urgent need for an immediate halt to all forms of escalation carried out by the militia and its ongoing threats to maritime security.
