SayNet partners with Google Cloud to reshape Kuwait’s credit infrastructure

In a move reflecting a qualitative shift in the trajectory of Kuwait’s financial sector, Kuwait Credit Information Network Company (“Sai Net”), the leading and sole provider of credit information and ratings in Kuwait, announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud. This initiative goes beyond system upgrades to reshape the country’s credit infrastructure at the national level.

This step is not merely a technological transition to cloud computing; it reflects a deeper transformation in how value is generated within the credit ecosystem, moving from a traditional credit bureau model to an integrated, data-driven approach powered by advanced analytics and artificial intelligence.

By adopting Google Cloud technologies at this scale, Sai Net is laying the foundations for a flexible and scalable digital infrastructure capable of accommodating the growing complexities of financial markets and responding more efficiently to evolving regulatory requirements. The company is among the first in Kuwait’s financial sector to embrace this level of cloud integration, reinforcing its position as a key driver of transformation in financial infrastructure.

In this context, Sai Net’s CEO, Mai Al-Awaidhi, stated that “the partnership represents a structural shift in how data is utilized within the credit ecosystem, transitioning from a traditional model to an operational model based on data and advanced analytics. The company places special emphasis on enhancing technical capabilities through investment in advanced digital systems and developing expertise in data science and artificial intelligence, in line with its vision to become the leading data hub in Kuwait.”

For his part, Mashari Al-Mohammed, Chief Information Officer at Sai Net, highlighted the significance of this step, saying, “Adopting Google technologies enables the reengineering of operational systems and brings about a qualitative leap in credit applications, with a focus on automation and enabling more advanced models, as well as analyzing data from various sectors. This transformation allows us to improve the efficiency of credit assessments, develop credit services, while maintaining the highest levels of cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.”

Commenting on the partnership, Shaima Al-Turkistani, General Manager of Google in the region, said, “The collaboration reflects the advanced potential of cloud technologies in reshaping the digital infrastructure of the financial sector. Google Cloud enables institutions to build data-driven infrastructures supported by advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning capabilities, allowing for large-scale and near-instantaneous data processing. We also provide a secure and flexible cloud environment based on the highest standards of cybersecurity and compliance, enabling institutions to accelerate innovation, enhance performance efficiency, and respond to current and future market demands.”

This transformation comes at a time when data is increasingly recognized as a strategic asset in the financial sector, where competitive advantage no longer depends solely on information availability, but on the ability to analyze and leverage it effectively.

In this context, Sai Net positions itself to lead this transformation, fully committed to the highest standards of data governance and the requirements of the Central Bank of Kuwait.

On a broader level, this trend aligns with the shift toward a more integrated digital economy, where Sai Net contributes to strengthening digital channels, expanding credit empowerment, and enhancing user experience quality, within a new operational model based on innovation and maximizing data utilization.
