Al-Khaleej Distributes 400 School Bags
For the third consecutive year, and in observance of the start of the new academic year, Gulf Bank distributed 400 fully equipped school bags containing all necessary supplies to students from low-income families, in collaboration with the “Bashta” and “Manara” volunteer teams, with active participation from the “Sawaed Al Khaleej” team.
This initiative is part of the bank’s “Back to School” campaign, which includes events and activities supporting students’ return to in-person classes after a prolonged period of remote learning due to geopolitical developments.
Gulf Bank’s collaboration with the “Bashta” initiative this year also coincides with the celebration of “Volunteer Work Day,” observed annually on September 5, reaffirming the values of giving and human solidarity, and honoring the noble efforts made by volunteers worldwide without compensation. It also aims to inspire youth and future generations to engage in humanitarian work and transform volunteering into a daily culture that contributes to building a more cohesive and peaceful society.
In line with its commitment to reinforcing community sustainability principles, Gulf Bank actively participates in various community events throughout the year, aiming to bring joy to low-income families and strengthen the motivation of their student children to continue their educational journey.
Additionally, the bank annually provides extra support to students and parents who hold the bank’s credit and prepaid cards, by offering exclusive deals and discounts on school supplies in partnership with leading retailers in Kuwait. The bank also offers a range of distinctive banking services, such as educational loans and various savings accounts that promote the concept of saving, including the “neo” children’s account.
