The Gulf Committee Approves 680 Standard Specification Projects

The Kuwait Public Authority for Industry participated today, Monday, in the 48th session of the General Committee for Standards in Riyadh, as part of efforts to enhance joint Gulf cooperation in the field of standards and metrology.
The Authority stated in a press release that the meeting, chaired by the Acting Deputy Director General of Standards and Industrial Services, Engineer Mohammed Al-Mulla, who led the Kuwaiti delegation, discussed several agenda items and reviewed recommendations from the previous meeting.
It noted that 680 draft Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) standards and various related technical amendments were reviewed and approved during the meeting.
The meeting also addressed the development of electronic systems related to standards, including system enhancements aimed at improving procedural efficiency and supporting the framework for preparing and approving Gulf standards.
