“Talent and Creativity” Concludes Its Global Technological Competitions
The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Talent and Creativity, one of the centers under the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, concluded the activities of the “Sabah Al-Ahmad Global Technological Competitions 2026,” held at the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Centre with the participation of more than 180 competitors, announcing the winners.
In a statement on Sunday, the “Talent and Creativity Center” noted that the competitions brought together young talents in four specialized technical contests: Maze (MAZE), Line Follower, Sumo (SUMO), and Drones (DRONE).
It highlighted that organizing these competitions aligns with its efforts to discover and nurture national talents in the fields of science, technology, and engineering, and to promote a culture of innovation. The events provide a competitive environment that enables participants to translate their knowledge and technical skills into practical applications. The center emphasized that these events serve as an important platform for young talents to explore modern technological fields and engage in competitive experiences that mirror standards used in global competitions, thereby contributing to preparing a generation capable of continuous development, competition, and representing the State of Kuwait at international technological forums.
The center stated that the Sumo competition saw Farah Al-Hais and Lulwa Al-Ajmi take first place, Abdullah Al-Khamisan and Mohsin Al-Badali secure second place, and Abdullah Al-Sayegh and Issa Al-Baghl claim third place. In the Drone competition, Amina Abdullah and Zainab Abdullah won first place, Othman Al-Ajmi took second place, and Hassan Akbar Ali and Ali Akbar Ali secured third place.
Regarding the Maze competition, Abdulhamid Al-Mohammed Ali won first place, while Munira Al-Khana and Saud Al-Khana took second place, and Qusai Al-Anzi claimed third place. The events also featured five special awards: Nour Khaja, Hawa Al-Baghl, and Dalia Al-Kandari won the Best Strategy Award in the Sumo competition; Noura Al-Khazie and Huda Al-Anzi received the Best Navigation Award in the Maze competition.
Furthermore, Nasser Al-Sharhan and Jasem Al-Yassin won the Best Performance Award in the Line Follower competition, while Issa Al-Rashidi and Omar Al-Rashidi received the Best Drone Pilot Award in the Drone competition. Aisha Al-Mansour and Lulwa Al-Mansour won the Best Programming Award across the “GEN TEK” competitions.
