American International University Holds Orientation Program for Continuing Faculty Members

In preparation for the launch of the 2026–2027 academic year, the American International University (AIU) organized a continuing faculty orientation program, reflecting its commitment to preparing for the new academic year, enhancing communication and collaboration among faculty members, and highlighting key developments and priorities that support the educational process and student experience.

The program aligns with the university’s dedication to providing a supportive academic environment that enables faculty members to stay updated on the latest developments and initiatives, and to familiarize themselves with available services and resources, thereby helping them prepare for the demands of the new semester and continue performing their academic duties efficiently.

During the orientation program, AIU President, Professor Dr. Youssef Haik, also highlighted the university’s AIU RISE 2026–2030 strategic plan, which outlines the institution’s strategic direction for the coming years. The strategy focuses on four main pillars: Research and Innovation, Impact and Academic Accreditation, Student Success and University Experience, and Employment, Engagement, and Community Service. Through the RISE strategy, AIU aims to strengthen research and innovation, elevate the quality of education and academic accreditation, support student success, prepare graduates for professional achievement, and enhance partnerships and engagement with the business sector and the broader community. The strategy also supports AIU’s contributions to achieving the goals of Kuwait Vision 2035 through education and scientific research, developing national human resources for the labor market, and building effective partnerships with society and its institutions.

The program also emphasized the important role of faculty members in supporting student success and enhancing their university experience by providing an educational environment that encourages learning, critical thinking, and innovation, while fostering interaction and collaboration within the academic community.

The American International University (AIU) continues to develop a modern academic environment focused on academic excellence, experiential learning, innovation, and student success, offering a diverse range of academic programs that meet student interests and align with labor market needs.

AIU offers programs and specializations in various academic fields, including the College of Business Administration, which covers marketing, finance, accounting, management, entrepreneurship, and global supply chains, as well as the College of Arts and Design, which offers specializations in interior design and graphic design. The university also provides a variety of programs in engineering fields, including electrical engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, and other engineering disciplines, alongside programs in the College of Education covering mathematics, English, and sciences. Additionally, AIU offers a biotechnology specialization, a distinguished and rare program among private universities in Kuwait, reflecting AIU’s commitment to providing interdisciplinary education focused on developing knowledge and practical skills and keeping pace with labor market demands.

Through investing in its academic staff and developing its educational environment, AIU continues to support its students and faculty members, enhancing opportunities for learning, collaboration, and innovation, thereby contributing to preparing graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their academic and professional aspirations and effectively contribute to the future of Kuwait and the region.
