Central Tenders Board Rejects Oil Contract Award Request Worth 117 Million Kuwaiti Dinars

The Central Tenders Board approved Kuwait Oil Company’s request for direct contracting with a Bahraini company to execute an emergency procurement and service request classified as a “disaster,” concerning the vessel “Al-Jabriya II” at the company’s dry dock in Bahrain, valued at $5.725 million (equivalent to approximately KD 1.762 million), after the company met the technical and commercial requirements.

On another note, the Central Tenders Board decided to reject Kuwait Oil Company’s request to award the tender for the construction of a water separation facility at Gathering Center 25 and a water pumping facility at Gathering Center 30, following Kuwait Oil Company’s request.

The award recommendation had pertained to a bid submitted by one company, considered the lowest bidder, with a total value of KD 117 million, after completing the work and valuation assessment.

The Tenders Board also approved direct contracting with a company to execute an emergency procurement and service request classified as a “disaster” within the framework of salvage and scope expansion works for the vessel “Kivan,” under a contract value of $11.85 million (equivalent to approximately KD 3.647 million), after the company met the technical and commercial requirements.
