Kuwait National Bank announced its sponsorship of the “Back to School” event for the third consecutive year, in collaboration with the Loyak Foundation, to prepare and distribute school bags and stationery to children from needy families in Kuwait, as preparations begin for the new academic year.

The initiative, held with the participation of a group of volunteers from the bank and the foundation, is part of the bank’s comprehensive corporate social responsibility program, which prioritizes education and supporting future generations, while providing an encouraging learning environment for students.

On this occasion, Saqr Al-Bin Ali, Head of Communications and External Relations Unit, said: “Sponsoring this event reflects our genuine commitment to corporate social responsibility, driven by our belief that education is a fundamental right for every child. Through this initiative, we strive to provide necessary school supplies and bring joy to students’ hearts, thereby boosting their self-confidence and creating suitable conditions for academic achievement and excellence.”

Al-Bin Ali noted that the bank’s role extends beyond offering financial and banking services, aiming to make a tangible positive impact on the lives of various segments of society. He emphasized that the bank will continue to reinforce the concept of active corporate social responsibility and collaborate with numerous partners to build a qualified generation capable of leading the development process in the local market.

He added that the initiative adds to the bank’s distinguished record in supporting education through organizing a series of financial and banking literacy workshops in cooperation with many schools across Kuwait.

For her part, Lulwah Al-Sharrah, Community Empowerment Programs Specialist at Loyak, said: “Our partnership with the bank in this initiative for the third consecutive year reflects our shared commitment to supporting students from needy families and providing them with an encouraging learning environment.”

She added: “The initiative is not merely about distributing bags and stationery; it is a message of hope and an opportunity to prepare a generation capable of facing challenges and achieving success. At Loyak, we believe that investing in education is the most important investment for Kuwait’s future.”
