Formation of a new board of directors for Kuwait Airways

The Public Authority for Investment announced the formation of the new board of directors for Kuwait Airways Company on Sunday, holding its first meeting and appointing Nasser Al-Rodhan as chairman of the board and Abdulmohsen Al-Mikhaeeem as deputy chairman. In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Authority said that, pursuant to Decree No. 77/2026 on converting the company into a wholly state-owned joint-stock company, it formed the new board of directors comprising Nasser Al-Rodhan, Abdulmohsen Al-Mikhaeeem, Nour Al-Jassim, Hanan Al-Faris, and Mishari Al-Hunaidi. It noted that the board also includes three independent members with specialized expertise in the aviation sector and related fields: Enrique Dubois, Giles Agutter, and Ryan van der Eijk. The formation of the board comes as part of efforts to support the next phase of Kuwait Airways’ development, strengthen corporate governance, and leverage specialized expertise to enhance the company’s efficiency and competitiveness.
