The Court of Cassation overturns the ruling that suspended the punishment of a tweeter for breaching his undertaking and orders his re-imprisonment for three years

The Court of Cassation ruled to annul the decision to refrain from punishing the accused, Ahmed Al-Shalhi, for breaching his undertaking, and ordered his re-imprisonment for three years on charges of spreading false news and harming the country’s internal stability. Previously, the Criminal Court had released Ahmed Al-Shalhi on bail of 500 dinars after charging him with broadcasting false news and leaking Cabinet decisions across all his accounts, as well as disseminating government information without obtaining the required authorization.
