Kremlin: US envoys presented Putin with "several ideas" to end the war in Ukraine

The Kremlin revealed on Saturday that Russian President Vladimir Putin held “very frank” talks with US envoys regarding a ceasefire in the war in Ukraine, during which the American side presented several ideas for ending the conflict.

Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president, told journalists, including Agence France-Presse, that “the US envoys prepared thoroughly for this visit.”

He added, “They not only expressed their usual interest in ending hostilities quickly, but also put forward a number of ideas regarding potential ways to reach a settlement.”
