Kuwait Finance House Strengthens Youth Culture with Environmental Sustainability

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) concluded its strategic participation in the “Sustainability Camp,” a pioneering educational and awareness initiative aimed at promoting a culture of sustainability and enhancing environmental awareness among the younger generation. More than 120 students participated in a comprehensive educational and practical experience spanning a full month, integrating knowledge, application, and innovation across various fields of sustainability.

Faisal Al-Sari, Director of Corporate Relations and Social Responsibility, stated that the participation reaffirms the bank’s commitment to supporting environmental and developmental initiatives and strengthening its role in fostering a generation more aware of environmental issues and better equipped to develop effective solutions for sustainability-related challenges. This aligns with KFH’s corporate social responsibility and sustainability strategy, as well as its dedication to investing in youth potential and empowering them to contribute to building a more sustainable future.

He noted that the camp featured a rich program of educational and practical activities over four weeks, allowing participants to explore concepts of environmental sustainability, the circular economy, resource management, and environmental conservation, alongside developing skills in creative thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving. Students worked in specialized teams to develop practical projects addressing various environmental challenges, presenting innovative and applicable ideas and solutions that reinforced the concept of sustainable innovation among them.

Al-Sari added that at the conclusion of the camp, KFH, as part of its “Keep it Green” environmental campaign, awarded the best project prize to recognize the outstanding efforts made by the students and to encourage creative ideas and innovative solutions presented during the program. The award aims to motivate participants to continue developing their environmental projects and initiatives, enhancing their culture of innovation and sustainability, thereby preparing them to play an active role in addressing future environmental challenges.

He emphasized KFH’s commitment to supporting such high-quality initiatives, driven by the belief in the importance of empowering and involving youth in efforts toward sustainable development by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to understand environmental challenges and develop effective solutions. These programs also help identify young talents, refine their capabilities, and guide them toward fields that have a positive impact on society and the environment.

He further highlighted that KFH, through its “Keep it Green” campaign, will continue to implement and support environmental and awareness initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable practices and spreading environmental culture among various segments of society. This reflects the bank’s commitment to its leading role in sustainability, its responsibility toward society and the environment, and its dedication to contributing to building a more sustainable future for coming generations.
