Al-Ahly concludes summer programs, training, and job rotation for employees' children

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) concluded the activities of its summer programs and the training and career rotation program dedicated to the children of its employees, in line with its ongoing commitment to enhancing employee and family welfare, strengthening communication with them, and meeting their aspirations, thereby contributing to increased loyalty and higher productivity levels, and reaffirming the bank’s position as a preferred employer in the banking sector.

This year, the bank sought to expand the scope of its summer programs for employees’ children by increasing the number and variety of programs to suit different age groups, providing them with educational and recreational experiences that combine skill development and talent discovery in an inspiring and interactive environment.

The programs included the “Young Innovators Camp,” in collaboration with the Australian University in Kuwait, for children aged 8 to 12. Designed to inspire children and develop their capabilities in innovation, design, and problem-solving, the camp featured interactive innovation labs, design challenges, creative projects, and competitions that helped participants turn their ideas into practical solutions in an engaging and interactive manner.

The programs also featured the “Public Speaking and Future Skills Camp,” also in collaboration with the Australian University in Kuwait, for participants aged 12 to 16. Aimed at developing public speaking, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills within a supportive and motivating educational environment, the camp involved children in a variety of interactive activities and training sessions, including storytelling, acting, presentations, debates, and group projects.

The summer programs also included organizing several recreational trips and activities to various destinations, witnessing widespread participation and notable engagement from employees’ children, who benefited from the diverse events and activities prepared for them throughout the program period.

In line with its commitment to providing practical experiences for older employees’ children, the bank offered young people aged 16 and 17 the opportunity to participate in the training and career rotation program, which covered several bank departments. The program aimed to introduce them closely to the banking work environment, hone their skills, and develop their practical and personal capabilities.

The program included interactive sessions and daily workshops with several bank executives, allowing participants to understand the nature of work in the banking sector and benefit from the expertise of specialists, alongside acquiring a set of skills that help them prepare for their future professional careers.

The program concluded with a special ceremony attended by Afrah Al-Arbash, Director of Human Resources Management, and several bank executives. Participants showcased the key experiences and skills they acquired during the training period, along with presenting a set of ideas, proposals, services, and solutions that the bank could develop and offer to its customers in the future.

The ceremony witnessed praise for the outstanding level demonstrated by the trainees and the ideas they presented, which reflected their ability to think creatively, analyze customer needs, and propose innovative solutions that keep pace with developments in the banking sector.

On this occasion, Al-Arbash stated: “The children of our employees are an integral part of our family, and our investment in developing their skills and building their capabilities is an extension of our commitment to providing an inspiring work environment that contributes to raising productivity levels among our human resources.”

She added, “We witnessed great passion and promising talent among participants in our diverse programs. Our goal was not merely to fill their leisure time, but to shape their personalities and equip them with future-ready skills, including the use of smart tools, critical thinking, and teamwork. Seeing this passion in the eyes of our children and the smiles on the faces of our staff confirms that investing in employee and family well-being is a key driver in strengthening loyalty within the bank.”

Al-Arbash clarified that the program provided participants with hands-on experience across several bank departments over a three-week period, allowing them to learn about the mechanisms and requirements of work in the banking sector. This contributes to building their personalities, enhancing their experience, and helping them prepare for their future professional careers.

She continued, “Our message through this initiative is to reaffirm our ongoing commitment to our employees by delivering real added value to their families. This reflects the Human Resources Department’s dedication to balancing the enhancement of employee well-being with supporting family stability, while offering advanced content that aligns with the latest practices in the banking sector. It also underscores the bank’s continuous commitment to innovation in talent management and efficient employee care.”

Al-Arbash concluded, “These initiatives are not just temporary training programs; they represent a genuine investment in our human capital. This stems from our belief that stability and professional success begin with caring for and supporting employees and their families, leaving a tangible and sustainable impact on everyone’s lives.”
