Director of the Joint Programs: Gulf media production is not complete by its creation alone, but by its reaching the audience

- We are working to diversify distribution platforms and expand partnerships with national, Gulf, and private sector institutions.

- The coming phase will witness more initiatives and partnerships aimed at expanding the presence of Gulf program production.

The Director General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Common Production Program Organization, Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, emphasized that Gulf media production is not complete merely by its creation, but by its reaching the audience. He noted the organization’s focus on broadening the reach of Gulf content and delivering it to audiences through diverse distribution platforms.

Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the organization will make its program “Doroub Arisha” (Couch Routes) available on entertainment screens aboard Kuwait Airways flights starting the day after tomorrow, Monday, as part of the collaboration between the organization and Kuwait’s national carrier.

He affirmed that the presence of “Doroub Arisha” on Kuwait Airways flights represents a new step in the program’s journey, allowing passengers to enjoy distinctive Gulf content during their travels. This enhances the presence of Gulf media production and expands its reach to audiences within and beyond the region.

He noted that this step marks the beginning of a broader path for the organization, launching from its host country, Kuwait, and will be followed by similar cooperation with both government and private Gulf airlines. This will open new horizons for marketing and disseminating Gulf production, reaching wider audience segments.

Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah added that the organization is proceeding with its vision, which places content quality at the forefront of its priorities, while simultaneously attaching equal importance to its marketing and dissemination. Gulf media production is not complete merely by its creation, but by its ability to reach audiences, achieve presence, and exert influence.

He pointed out that the organization is working to diversify the distribution platforms for its productions and expand its partnerships with national, Gulf, and private sector institutions. This aligns with the rapid developments in the media industry and changing viewing habits, enhancing the competitiveness of Gulf content and enabling it to reach new spaces.

He confirmed that the coming phase will witness more initiatives and partnerships aimed at expanding the presence of Gulf program production and delivering it to audiences wherever they are. This reflects the shared Gulf identity and highlights the creative and media talents abundant in the GCC member states.
